In this role, you will act as project planner and controller within a multidisciplinary R&D team. This team is responsible for analyzing, designing, implementing and integrating solutions for customers such as the Canadian Space Agency, as well as for our analysis and measurement products (https://new.abb.com/products/measurement-products).
Your responsibilities
- Develop project schedules, including preparation of work packages, task dependencies and duration, setting milestones, defining critical paths and resource optimization.
- Gather the data necessary to progress and update project schedules. Control deadlines and project timelines and optimize project schedules based on gathered data.
- Monitor project budget costs. Compare budgets approved in SAP against costs entered in Primavera.
- Analyze project progress and deviations from the approved reference and analyze the effects of possible delays. Suggest corrective actions and adjust schedules accordingly.
- Identify potential project resource allocation conflicts and suggest an optimal use of resources.
- Maintain and track scope changes and consolidate and analyze project indicators.
- Prepare and analyze long term, mid-term and short-term budget revenues and expenses forecasts.
- Support project managers and teams in strategic and detailed project planning.
- Support Time Sheets entries.
- Contribute to the improvement of our Project Management process and tools.
Your background
- College degree in administration with pertinent experience.
- Five (5) years of experience in project planning (MS-Project or Primavera and cost control.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Office).
- SAP knowledge is an asset. Contractual terms knowledge is also an asset.
- Care for order and quality, attention to detail.
- Good at managing time and workload.
- Autonomy, ease of adaptation/versatility.
- Bilingualism (French/English).
