R&D Senior engineer-Embedded firmware

You will be working as a R&D Senior engineer- Embedded firmware and will be part of Electrification Business Area for Smart Power division based in Hyderabad, India. In this role you will be reporting to R&D Team Lead and will be responsible for contributing significantly to successful project results in technology, software, product or solution development as well as associated Intellectual Property (IP) by identifying, proposing and implementing innovative solutions. Acting as the first point of contact in Research and Development (R&D) or software development or product engineering for specific product-related issues and maintenance.

Your responsibilities

• Developing and implementing firmware test plans to ensure design quality and completeness to specifications
• Producing detailed functional design specifications and associated documentation from internal and external documentation sources
• Clearly communicating ideas, concepts to team and creating an environment that inspires constant innovation in product and processes
• Generating and Protecting IP ( Intellectual property )
• Mentoring junior level engineers in the team
• Participating in design reviews and provide suggestions for improving the quality of product
• Generating requirement specification and detailed design of microcontroller-based products

Your background

• B.E / B. Tech in Electrical / Electronics and Communication or equivalent
• Minimum 8+ years of experience in developing firmware related to electrical protection products - ATS, UPS, Trip units, Controls Electronics and smart energy meters
• Must have developed multiple products from concept through production (has been through 3 or more big project cycle)
• Hands-on firmware development experience on 16 / 32-bit microcontrollers and development tools like Emulator, Simulator and Debuggers
• Should be very strong in ‘C’ / C++ and assembly Language programming
