Your role and responsibilities

• Developing and delivering a business strategy, aligned with the overall global strategy. Ensuring business development and profitable growth in China
• Ensuring achievement of business targets/scorecards through regular oversight and definition of improvement actions as needed
• Evaluating market opportunities and decides appropriate activities in line with the strategy. Building and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing customers to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction. Monitoring industry, customer and competitor trends and adjust accordingly
• Ensuring production and execution of high-quality products, solutions, project, and services. Monitoring quality metrics, identifies opportunities for improvement in local execution, and oversees improvement activities
• Implementing and ensuring compliance with the ABB way, with a clear focus on optimized end-to-end business processes. Sharing functional best practices and lessons learned across the organization
• Ensuring that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed. Guiding, motivating and developing direct and indirect subordinates

Qualifications for the role

• Market and management experience in machine Automation / Industrial Automation
• Management background across key elements of the value chain: including Marketing & Sales, Product management, project management, local value add
• Combination of strategic thinking and execution (result) orientation
• Profit & Loss responsibility with proven successful business outcomes in managing growth, change and / or turnaround
• Deep understanding of customers, markets and competitive landscape
• People leadership, having led a large cross functional team
• Experience in working with different cultures, international business, global mind-set
• Communication skills, proficiency in English
