Your role and responsibilities

• Evaluate and implement the communication protocols between EV charging stations and trucks, ensuring seamless and efficient charging processes.
• Collaborate with eMine Solution Architects to integrate automation solutions into the broader context of mine operations.
• Work on the integration of energy management systems to optimize power usage across the charging and trolley infrastructure.
• Design and engineer the eMine automation system including control and monitoring functions.
• Collaborating closely with experts in Electrification, overhead line mechanical design, digital solutions and other relevant domains to ensure a holistic approach to automation engineering.
• Contributing to the development of automation processes and tools, actively seeking out inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
• Conducting training sessions on automation solutions for internal teams and stakeholders.

Qualifications for the role

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering or similar field.
• Proven experience in engineering and development of applications with ABB Ability System 800xA
• Knowledge of Electric Charging Stations or Trolley systems is advantageous.
• A high level of self-motivation, curiosity, and a desire to learn about new technologies.
• Independent worker and fast learner.
• Demonstrated project execution capabilities, with a collaborative, solution-focused approach, and strong written and spoken communication skills.
• Fluency in English, other languages such as Spanish are a plus
• Willingness to travel up to 30%
