Service Team Leader

Your role and responsibilities

In this pivotal role, you'll spearhead service projects for medium and low voltage switchgears within ABB's Electrification Service division in Switzerland. Your primary responsibility will be to provide clear directives, delegate tasks, and set achievable milestones. Collaborating closely with local Swiss clientele, your mandate extends beyond mere project execution. You'll drive relentless improvement, surpassing predefined targets while ensuring strict adherence to all ABB commitments—from goal identification to seamless project fulfillment.

You will be mainly accountable for:
• Project accountability for services related to medium voltage and low voltage switchgear and electrical distribution systems, considering all technical, scheduling, and commercial objectives.
• Proactively communicate with customers, suppliers, and company units, in addition to coordinating tasks
• Managing of all operational activities related to the realization of the projects.
• Monitoring projects to ensure best practices in cost control, resource efficiency and Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
• Identifying, and managing risks, while ensuring that opportunities are identified and pursued.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and acting as a contact point for customer enquiriesOversee maintenance contracts through end-to-end management of customers or their production sites.

Qualifications for the role

• Solid degree in a technical specialization or vocational training (e.g. electrician, electrical engineer, automation engineer) with corresponding further training at HF or FH level (or equivalent)
• Experience as project manager or project engineer in the field of electrical installations beneficial
• Technical background in the field of medium and low voltage switchgear is of advantage.
• Knowledge of SAP usage beneficial
• German language skills and English. French and Italian language skills as an advantage.
• You are responsive, customer-oriented, and able to prioritize tasks effectively
• You hold current Swiss VISA/work permit
