Your role and responsibilities

The ABB Training Center Berlin gGmbH is an educational service provider of ABB Germany
for dual training occupations. Vocational training focuses on the areas of metal and electrical engineering and mechatronics. We support our customers from the ABB business units as well as approx. 150 cooperation companies from Berlin and Brandenburg with modern and high-quality basic training for their trainees. Qualified and committed trainers who use innovative teaching methods and individual support for the trainees to impart the technical content as well as social skills are the basis of our success! Carrying out the practical and theoretical training of apprentices in the areas of metal technology.
Imparting knowledge and skills in accordance with the training ordinance and internal training plan, as well as conducting performance appraisals of trainees.
Supporting trainees in preparing for examinations and in company and external projects
Supporting trainees in the development of technical, methodological and social competence
Cooperation with the cooperating companies, the vocational schools and the responsible chambers of industry and commerce
Preparing and implementing new teaching and learning concepts in relation to digitization

Qualifications for the role

• Completed training as an industrial mechanic or mechatronics technician
• Ideally, further training to become a state-certified technician or master craftsman
• Trainer aptitude test available
• Several years of professional experience
• Distinct knowledge in the field of metalworking as well as assembly of mechanical systems
• Distinct knowledge in the areas of pneumatics / hydraulics
• Knowledge of technical communication and the use of CAD-based systems
• Good computer skills
• Fluent in written and spoken German, knowledge of English is desirable
• Independent and responsible way of working as well as willingness to learn
• Ability to work in a team and empathy
