Your role and responsibilities
Do you find working in an office boring? Would you like to help our customers with your technical and analytical insight? Have you completed an electrical engineering or chemical education? In this dynamic job, you will be the ambassador of ABB to the customer and you will also get the chance to specialise further in ABB's products.
The Measurement & Analytics division combines innovation and experience in its instrumentation products. With a comprehensive range of reliable and accurate instruments, we offer our customers a solution suitable for application under the most difficult conditions. Our equipment is tailored to the contemporary needs of different industries. Besides standard products such as flow meters, pressure transmitters, temperature sensors, water quality analyses, recorders, controllers and continuous gas analyses, we also specialise in project engineering, system integration, training and after-sales service.
Within this department, we are looking for a Service Engineer Instrumentation. In this role, you will be responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance on the instrumentation installed at our customers' premises. These activities are largely carried out at our customers' premises. These customers are located throughout the Benelux. In addition to the Netherlands, you may also be required to perform work in Belgium and Luxembourg. You will have "stand-by" shifts at regular intervals, which also require independent service outside normal working hours.
Your responsibilities:
- Troubleshooting faults and performing annual checks.
- Commissioning new instrumentation and testing this instrumentation
- Giving technical advice and/or training on maintenance and operation of this to your tasks.
- You actively contribute to a modern, service-oriented service organisation.
- Ensuring that Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) practice is of a high standard and eliminating unsafe practices and incidents.
Qualifications for the role
- You are preferably familiar with measurement and control technology.
- You preferably have several years of experience in a technical-service position.
- You are an independent, stress-resistant and flexible team player with good interpersonal skills.
- You are solution-oriented and service-oriented; this means that you perform the work regardless of the time and location.
- Good command of the Dutch and English language in word and writing
- You are familiar with the Office Software packages.
- You are in possession of driving license B.
