This position reports to

R&D Unit Lead

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to ABB’s success with technology, software, product, and system development. Each day, you will identify and implement innovative solutions to relevant problems. You will also showcase your expertise by providing ideas and by being able to work both independently and as a part of a Research & Development (R&D) team.
Lead the certification process for new low voltage products, ensuring compliance with relevant national and international standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary documentation and evidence for certification submissions.
Stay informed about specific certification requirements in target markets and ensure products meet those standards.
Work closely with regulatory bodies and certification agencies to obtain approvals for market entry.
Manage the renewal process for existing certificates, proactively addressing any changes in standards or regulations.
Stay up-to-date with industry standards and assess the impact of new standards on existing products.
Actively participate as a representative in standard committees such as IEC.

Qualifications for the role

• Degree of Electrical Engineering or similar.
• Proven experience in product certification, preferably in the field of electrical components or similar industry.
• In-depth knowledge of relevant standards, regulations, and certification processes.
• Membership or willingness to participate in industry-standard committees such as IEC.
• Strong task management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Fluency in English.
• No obstacles for travelling.
• Strong awareness of Health, Safety and Security rules: HSE is everyone's business.
