Your role and responsibilities

Come and join ABB Installation Products Division, the number one manufacturer of electrification products in North America with a 125-year history of providing innovation and customer focused solutions for connecting and protecting electrical systems, as well as a unique differentiated medium voltage offering. Our products are used all around you, every day – orbiting the earth, working on Mars, on the fastest trains we ride, in the fastest cars of the world, crossing oceans, in factories producing your food, in the tallest buildings of the world, in the most modern hotels and in the walls of your home.
We are currently looking for a dynamic individual ready to take on stimulating challenges to fill a position of Human Resources Business Partner. You will work at the Iberville plant.
• Participate in the development and sharing of the organization's vision, mobilize, and influence the values conveyed by leaders to ensure a culture of performance and recognition.
• Build strong relationships with leaders from different employee groups, ensuring collaboration and a human touch in decision-making, as well as fairness in the application of practices and collective agreement. Provide coaching and development activities.
• Understand the organization's operations and needs, identify human resources strategies, implement and monitor performance indicators, analyze gaps and deploy any value-added activities or initiatives, according to priorities established with leaders.
• Ensure legal compliance and oversee human resources programs and policies, as well as their application by managers of the various employee groups.
• Identify and deploy strategies and plans for recruitment, pay equity, salary and benefits administration, labor relations, training, and development, based on organizational needs and market and industry trends.
• Chairs or participates in various committees, such as pension plan, labor relations and grievances, skills, francization.
• In collaboration with the leadership team, identify change management and continuous improvement activities for services offered by Human Resources, and ensure deployment and support to various stakeholders.

Qualifications for the role

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field, a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role, and in a unionized environment. Membership in the Ordre des conseillers en ressources humaines agréés is an asset.
  • Experience in HR related functions is essential, experience in Merger & Acquisitions is an asset.
  • Collaborative, solutions-oriented approach, with strong oral and written communication skills, bilingualism French/English. French is required. English is also required to communicate with customers outside Quebec on a regular basis.
  • Excellent team-building skills and promoter of multisite collaboration.
  • Ability to analyze, influence and make decisions to ensure strategic alignment and contribute to the overall success of the organization.
  • Result-oriented with a demonstrated ability to effectively plan work and meet deadlines.
  • In-depth knowledge of laws and regulations relating to human resources management and occupational health and safety (CNESST).
  • Proficiency in using the Microsoft Office environment and facility in learning and using systems.
  • Willingness to come to the office 4 times/week.
