Your role and responsibilities

Come and join ABB Installation Products Division, the number one manufacturer of electrification products in North America with a 125-year history of providing innovation and customer focused solutions for connecting and protecting electrical systems, as well as a unique differentiated medium voltage offering. Our products are used all around you, every day – orbiting the earth, working on Mars, on the fastest trains we ride, in the fastest cars of the world, crossing oceans, in factories producing your food, in the tallest buildings of the world, in the most modern hotels and in the walls of your home.
We are currently looking for a dynamic individual ready to take on stimulating challenges to fill a position of Human Resources Advisor. You will work at the Iberville plant and report to the Human Resources Business Partner.
• Ensures the management, monitoring and consolidation of employee life cycle cases, such as disability, work injury, parental leave, etc.
• Oversees the administration of the various programs and policies, organizes and leads several activities and committees (francization, pay equity, labor relations, training, pension plan, insurance plan, etc.)
• Ensures the complete staffing process, from assessing the needs in collaboration with the management team to onboarding new employees.
• Ensures the complete payroll process as well as associated transactions. Executes system transactions related to social benefits, personnel movements and any other required changes. Provides reports to various interested parties as required.
• Provides a full service to employees, answers their various questions, and plays an advisory role with operations staff by supporting them in the application of policies, programs and collective agreement.
• Participates in change management and continuous improvement activities of the services offered by human resources and ensures deployment and support to various interested parties.

Qualifications for the role

  • CEGEP/college studies in Human Resources, Administration or related field, with 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar role, or Bachelor's degree in human resources or industrial relations.
  • Experience in a unionized environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and ease of learning and using systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Collaborative, solution-oriented approach, with strong oral and written communication skills, both in French and English. French is required. English is also required to communicate with customers outside Quebec on a regular basis.
  • Rigor, attention to detail, flexibility, autonomy and team spirit.
  • General knowledge of laws and regulations relating to human resources management and occupational health and safety (CNESST).
  • Willingness to come to the office 4 times/week.
