This position reports to

Project Operations Manager

Your role and responsibilities

- Analysing customer requirements, taking into account the complexities involved. - Develop optimal, cost-effective technical solutions to meet the customer's needs. - Analysing costs and risks, costing the proposal and guaranteeing a margin. - Draw up a costing for the offer based on its technical definition, and revise it in line with developments. - Develop ABB's technical offer in the applications for which he/she is responsible by preparing formal technical and commercial offers with clear contractual conditions and by providing essential information for risk assessments. - Taking part in kick-off meetings with project managers and providing ad hoc support to project managers during the execution phase. - Preparing and participating in risk reviews where necessary. - Communicating with the purchasing department and suppliers to consolidate technical and commercial offers - Assisting sales staff in promoting robotic solutions, presenting offers and negotiating with customers - Keep the costing database up to date. - Maintain good relations with the Product Groups and GSCs (Global Solutions Centres). - Carry out RETEX on bids won and lost and share its analysis with Sales and its Managers. - Keeping a technological watch on products/solutions capable of improving ABB's offer. #LI-Onsite

Qualifications for the role

• Ideally, you have a degree in mechanical engineering, robotics and/or automation. You are recognised for your skills in costing complex turnkey robotic solutions (industrial resources/processes) for assembling parts or arc welding for the automotive industry. You have at least 15 years' experience in a similar role. Ideally, you will have already been involved in projects to implement new automated robotic line solutions.
• Your knowledge of the automotive sector and automotive suppliers is a real asset. Your knowledge of the field, the welding process and production is essential.
• You have the following qualities: curiosity about new automotive traction technologies, manufacturing process orientation, desire to learn and develop innovative concepts. You are fluent in English.
