This position reports to

Sales Specialist

Your role and responsibilities

• Offers technical advice and solutions on inquiries from customers/channels/Sales Specialists about ABB products/systems/applications. • Performs analytic and diagnostic studies to determine the optimal technical solution to meet customer needs and address complex inquiries. • Prepares and delivers technical presentations and demonstrations for both internal staff and customers on complex product issues. • Shares best practices and lessons learned. • Prepares and checks technical articles for publication. • Develops and maintains new sales opportunities and resolves specific customer problems. • Ensures the achievement of budget goals, including volume targets and profitable growth, across all assigned product groups and in the respective countries. • Ensures achievement of targets on orders, Net Price Variance (NPV), and Net Promoter Score (NPS). • Supports the Sales organization/customers in determining the most technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions and in the preparation of demanding offers. • Defines cost for the proposed solution and communicates to the Sales organization. • Provides technical support to the Sales team during technical meetings, product presentations, and negotiations with customers and offers product/ solution/service-related training. • Prepares/supports the preparation of technical/commercial offers based on customer specification requirements, business unit, and Sales organization directives. • Ensures technical and financial aspects of offers, including price and trading conditions, are appropriate. • Provides information for the risk review process in accordance with ABB policy and participates in the risk review assessment as required. • Analyzes customer needs and competitor offers by leveraging general market information and insights provided by the Sales organization. • Analyzes lost proposals, identifies the potential cause, and recommends future actions in cooperation with the Sales/ business unit to achieve improved results.

Qualifications for the role

  • The candidate must possess an understanding of the electrical supply industry
  • Role requires 2 days a week in office
  • Technical IT skills such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Team player with the ability to work with a diverse group of peers.
  • Change agent with the will to explore new options and strategies.
  • Willingness to meet and exceed customer expectations and offer superior service levels.
  • Experience in the following functions are a plus: Distribution channel inside or outside sales, Manufacturing company inside or outside sales or related industry experience would be an asset., Electrician or CET, Experience as a pricing coordinator, project bidding or executing sales strategy would also be an asset.
  • This is a 12 month Maternity leave replacement and could be extend should need be.
