Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead business development projects and/or strategic planning for ABB, leading a team of 3 specialists. Each day, you will act as a partner for the Electrification management team in the development and implementation of winning strategies. You will also showcase your expertise by creating proposals for profitable growth and differentiation, based on your deep understanding of ABB’s Divisions and business environment. This position reports to the Head of Strategy, Business Development and Sustainability of the Electrification Business Area of ABB. This is a global role. The work model for the role is: #hybrid You will be mainly accountable for: • Driving our long-term strategy and business portfolio management for ABB Electrification • Developing a clear understanding of market developments and the competitive environment of relevant ABB Electrification businesses to accelerate our growth further • Identifying and analyzing major trends, strategic opportunities, and/or challenges for Electrification, including sustainability • Organizing and synthesizing facts into clear analysis to provide impactful insights and recommendations for strategic, operational, and sustainability related initiatives • Nurturing strategic and analytical frameworks and creating work plans that translate strategic frameworks into concrete actions and deliverables and aligns them with stakeholders • Engaging with senior leadership in discussions, workshops and presentations • Driving alignment with cross-business teams and ensures project progress and outputs are in line with defined work plans • Ensuring that the project team understands ABB’s core values, ethics and group safety and integrity standards and acts accordingly in all activities

Qualifications for the role

• Master’s Degree (MBA) coupled with minimum of 8+ years of relevant work experience within strategy and M&A in a corporate and / or in management consulting
• Excellent problem-solving, project-management and communication skills
• Must have led major strategy projects in the past with demonstrated excellent results
• Ability to challenge classical acquisition landscapes and open new business directions
• Passion for and understanding of industrial space; direct experience in the markets served is a plus
• Ability to effectively guide and leverage project teams across levels, functions, and regions, without formal reporting relationships
• Ability to influence key decisions and align stakeholders to get proper buy-in
