Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your maintenance engineering expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll report to Michal Mitura, Site Industrial Director, and work alongside passionate, motivated and dedicated teammates.
You are essential in maintaining the safety, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of rail systems, contributing to the overall success and performance of the rail company. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business like Engineering, Technical teams, Supply Chain, Industrial, Quality, Site managers, Supervisors, Team leaders, to help identify potential safety hazards and ensure that rail systems comply with safety regulations, minimizing the risk of accidents or incidents
You’ll detect, define and implement the modifications of the maintained systems to improve the reliability and serviceability, in order to reduce project costs and improve the performances of the systems.
We’ll look to you for:
- Manage the technical performances of the systems and provide Rex to relevant Services Platform
- Own the Configuration and Design Change Management of the Project
- Optimize the scope and related tasks of the Maintenance plan
- Support cost reduction actions, with sourcing and industrial
- Assure the update of the technical documentation of the projects
- Support the Product Safety management system ensuring safety risks are mitigated in a timely manner
- Manage Obsolescence Plan
- Develop the work instructions and processes from the maintenance plan and maintenance manuals
- Analyse the technical performances of the systems and the efficiency of the maintenance plan and processes, promoting action plans to improve them
- Develop standardized tools/processes improving efficiency in maintenance activities
- Assure efficient parts codification in line with Platform rules: materials identification, codification process, interfaces with Alstom systems, quality and normative requirements
- Elaborate project monthly maintenance report (contractual reliability and availability targets)
- Set-up and follow standardized and continuous fleet reliability improvement plans, proactively surveying fleet KPI and promoting improving actions
- Preparation of the Life Cycle Cost models for SPR (Safety Performance Report) submissions
- Search for improvement actions in maintenance operations, performing engineering interface activities with Operations Engineers (depot support)
- Analyse failure criticality studies and uses RCM (Reliability Centered Maintenance) and other available methodologies to define and optimize the maintenance requirements, tasks and intervals
- Calculate material, parts and time consumption

- University degree in Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, Automation Engineering, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- 1-3 years of experience in Railways system/Application engineering
- Fluency in English and German
- Knowledge of rolling stock equipment & maintenance
- Working knowledge of safety management systems and safety risk assessment
- Proficient in the use of MS Office, SAP, BI/BO
- Capacity of managing technical risks
- Eagerness to learn
- Strong problem-solving skills (technical and costs evaluation of a solution) and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
