Could you be the full-time Testing and Commissioning Engineer in Hennigsdorf we’re looking for?  

 

Your future role 

Take on a new challenge and apply your engineering expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll report to Testing and commisioning leader and work alongside passionate, motivated and dedicated teammates. 

You'll play a pivotal role in guaranteeing the safe and reliable operation of rail systems, making sure they meet all regulatory and safety requirements. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business to coordinate testing and commissioning activities, ensuring smooth project execution.  

You’ll specifically ensure that all safety protocols and standards are met or exceeded, minimizing the risk of accidents or failures in rail operations, but also maintain detailed records of testing procedures, results, and any modifications made during the commissioning process. 

 

We’ll look to you for:  

  • Organize Testing & Commissioning activities (Planning, Access, Resources allocation, documentation) 
  • Check compliance of Signalling systems in relation to system specification documents and contractual requirements 
  • Independently, apply extensive expertise as a generalist or specialist to meet company standards and customer requirements for the related sub-system 
  • Develop Testing & Commissioning procedures for his sub-system based on defined specifications for subsystems in area of specialization to meet contractual requirements 
  • Interface with Engineering and Verification & Validation subsystem leaders for optimizing site tests and sharing competent resources between platform and site test 
  • Could participate to Verification & Validation test in lab, as per request, under the responsibility of the Verification & Validation Manager 
  • Provide technical leadership to individuals or teams for tools, procedure and in resolving problems 
  • Lead or participate in technical discussions for his subsystem directly with customer and represents / protects the company’s interest 
  • Report on a regular basis to the Project Testing & Commissioning Manager on progress and issues 
  • Report on the anomalies arising during site testing and interfaces with engineering team towards to close the anomaly 
  • Ensure that all design related issues are correctly reported in the adequate tools, including the defect description and associated test context 
  • Proactive towards development of resources competency to other Testing & Commissioning team members 
  • Guarantee that all tests are made in full safety

  • Degree in or passion for engineering (preferably electronics or embedded systems) or equivalent  
  • Good knowledge of English and German (read, written, spoken) 
  • Multiple years of experience in T&C or Verification & Validation activities for signalling projects 
  • Deep knowledge of one or more signalling subsystems 
  • Able to communicate in an open and clear manner with various stakeholders 
  • Flexibility and mobility, available for short or long mission in different locations and countries 
  • Available to work on field also for night shifts 
  • An outside-the-box approach to testing  
  • Decision-making confidence  
  • Familiarity with rail or a keenness to learn more  
  • Resilience, with an analytic way of thinking in order to solve complex system failures 
  • Customer satisfaction and results orientated 
  • Ability to use new technologies and tools 
  • Driving license
