The site of Alstom Ornans (close to Besançon, Doubs) is renowned as "world Centre of Excellence" for the design and production of the traction motors and alternators. Industrial plant of more than 300 people, Alstom Ornans proposes a large range of products and services in a growing environment led by technological innovations.
To contribute to its development, the site is looking for a : Methods and tools Manager - H/F
Drive Site local engineering M&T : ensure support model application for operations in local ecosystem , enforce convergence roadmap to standards, report on progress & issues, ensure Budget, manage his/her team, and develop competences needed.
Missions :
Performance Measurement/KPI’s
- Support local Methodologies for tools application within local existing ecosystem
- Functional site architecture Convergence to Engineering standard Tools and Methodologies
- Efficient local management of operational issues to insure business execution (impact analysis, prioritization, solving, workaround, escalation) : for time loss reduction
- Ad equation of M&T resources, and support implemented to meet operational needs for contract execution
- End-User competence level sustained on Methodologies for tools : local support, communication, trainings
- Product & Project Data-Structure Consistency : with Quality KPis monitoring, Data exchange End-to-End fluidity, and baselines extraction in time for DMTR
- “TTA” Integration in M&T network, regular & clear reporting, KPIs monitoring, and contribution to workshops
- Engineering subcontracting Partner’s ramp-up assistance : coaching on WoW, and support to their KUs
Responsibilities
- Support site engineering Métier Leaders and Projects on operations with existing Local Solutions, and according to Engineering Management Handbook WoW referential
- Coordinate with other M&T functions to insure End-to-End DataFlows consistency. Drive DMM (also so called DME) to assure PBS, DMU, configuration consistency and eBOM baselines maturity managed in PDM/PLM : within collaborative projects WoW specificities and local Tools ecosystem constraints
- Adapt M&T Team workforce (can be partially delegated to subcontractors) to face major changes in site WoW, or for specific project application assistance needs (then re-charged onto Project costs)
- Animate local Key-Users community, as interface with operational Solution Users : to distribute updates, share & capitalize functional REX ; insure their nomination and respect of KU model WoW (rights & duties)
- Interface IS&T local & central support organization : for Software Deployments and Availability (licenses, performances, bugs, workarounds, functional admin…)
- If standard Support Levels 1&2 failed in solving a critical issue, Central M&T can support on workarounds definition, and/or escalation up to adequate Management levels (with prioritization according shared Impact/Occurrence analysis)
- Can contribute to New Solutions definition, and Support local implementation as a main “change-agent” : in order to manage transition of local ecosystem towards shared and collaborative Alstom Standard Solutions (for multi-sites Projects compatibility, fluidity in PIO/PDO execution, new engineering Footprints ramp-ups, Partners collaboration)
Main responsabilities / habilities :
- Experience from working in a diverse and international environment
- Team Management, competence development, and budget management
- Knowledge of engineering data structures, data content and data flows I/O
- Knowledge of Engineering Design & Project WoW (DFQ, Project Manual, Eng Manual)
- Knowledge of General Railway Businesses (TIS, S&I, RSC, TLS) to interface with Métiers & Projects
