As an experienced RAMS engineer, you are part of a team whose expertise is highly valued by Alstom and its customers. You have a strong experience in designing effective, reliable, and safe technical solutions so that complex and innovative transport systems can operate every day. Your role requires you to leverage all new technologies and innovations that can make mobility safer. You develop creative methods for analyzing system design and making them work as our clients expect.

Your Mission:

The role of a Senior RAMS engineer is inherently interdisciplinary and cross-functional. You work on a project from the bidding phase to delivery and beyond in the warranty phase, while working in partnership with various internal and external stakeholders (engineering, industry, sourcing, customers, railway authorities, suppliers, etc.). You have a great responsibility in the design of our technical solutions and bring a strategic vision to the RAMS team.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide in-depth technical expertise in RAMS to support the design of innovative products that meet expected performance and comply with current regulations.
  • Anticipate technical blocking issues to propose appropriate solutions and provide technical solutions.
  • Act as an advisor to other functions to ensure operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
  • Create and use data-driven and predictive tools to perform RAMS analysis.
  • Propose innovative tools, methods, and products to continuously monitor and improve RAMS performance.

Your Profile:

This position requires a perfect balance between an independent mindset and strong collaboration skills. You have relevant experience in analyzing system design in a dysfunctional approach and believe that technical understanding of the subjects you deal with is essential.

You have a strategic vision of the RAMS profession and are capable of providing sharp technical expertise on complex issues.

You are an example of a collaborative approach to problem-solving and demonstrate the ability to creatively solve a wide range of problems.

  • A degree in electronic, electrical or electromechanical engineering or equivalent training.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Significant experience as an engineer/validation in the rolling stock rail, automotive or avionics (vehicles) industry.
  • Proven experience in RAMS analysis, with a great motivation for this discipline in which Alstom can help you evolve.
