For nearly 50 years, the La Pocatière site, a historic Bombardier Transportation legacy plant, has been a major player in the Québec economy. The plant produces rail vehicles for passenger transport and is a centre of excellence in the manufacture of stainless steel rolling stock.
Purpose of Employment:
- The logistics technician is responsible for the plant's inventory. He checks orders and deliveries, makes sure the warehouse is well organized and that each product is in its place. In conjunction with the carriers and the company's various departments, they must react quickly in the event of unforeseen events (late delivery, damaged goods, etc.). He works with inventory management software on a daily basis and has to make sure that the system quantities correspond to the physical quantities
Responsibilities:
- Ensure accuracy of inventory entry, packaging, shipping, outbound transportation, scrap process
- Contact Customs for Shipments
- Quarantine non-compliant equipment
- Coordinate the inventory accuracy process and organize physical counting activities
- Ensure the continuous improvement of the warehouse's organization and processes
- Analyze Inventory Imbalances
Profile sought:
- College Diploma in Operations Management or Industrial Engineering
- Fluency in French and English
- Experience and use of an ERP
