The Project Manager is responsible for the completion of the Interior Parts QCDT in accordance with the Interior Center of Excellence commitments.

Mission:

  • Performance Measure.
  • 100% FAI (First Article Inspection) on time
  • 100% FEI (First Equipment Installation) GO first time
  • Meet CoE planning milestones (projects)
  • Meet targeted recurring / non-recurring costs (projects)
  • Meet design milestones for quality
  • Coordinate various stakeholders to ensure QCDT deliverables: site engineering, CoE Interiors team, procurement, quality, industry, costing, suppliers.
  • Ensures the application of the Design for Quality process, design reviews and CoE Interiors standard key processes.


In the bidding phase:

  • Upon request, assists in the preparation of local tenders as a conduit to CoE's bidding or engineering teams.
  • In Project Phase:
  • Manages CoE Interiors activities in accordance with contract requirements and CoE Interiors QCDT commitments.
  • Is responsible for the achievement of recurring and non-recurring costs.
  • Leads the CoE and supplier schedule through GO IQA.
  • Manages interfaces with the project, site engineering and suppliers.
  • Manages change orders up to the ISP.
  • Implements and updates the CoE Interiors risk mitigation plan.
  • Manage, communicate and escalate critical paths.
  • Manage operational quality to improve project execution, with support from the Supplier Product Quality Manager and Engineering Quality Manager.
  • Ensures timely project and customer approval of relevant documentation. Where applicable, ensures deployment of the improvement application in Ref lib.
  • Manage initial deliveries, missing parts from initial deliveries, configuration and application of improvements.


In production phase:

  • Collects feedback from the project phase and shares with the Interiors CoE the relevant records and best practice catalogs.
  • Establishes for each change request the commitment of the QCDT CoE
  • Manages change requests with the project team and the supplier


Knowledge and Experience:

  • 5 years of project management experience in high mix/low volume industries.
  • Able to demonstrate cross-functional facilitation skills
  • Able to anticipate issues and be proactive
  • Able to prioritize and work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Able to work in an international, multi-site, matrixed organization structure
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Engineering degree (generalist)
