The maintenance professional is part of the maintenance of the REM project's signaling & communication systems and to support the maintenance activities of the GPMM consortium on behalf of Alstom. Responsibility for roles includes, but is not limited to, conventional signaling, digital signaling and the control center in an Urbalis 400 project.

OVERVIEW OF POSITION

The maintenance professional is part of the maintenance of signalling systems and will work in a multi-disciplinary group and do business with the following Alstom and Consortium teams:

  • The MRS system team, Alstom project team setting up the REM project signalling & Communication.
  • The Rolling Stock team in charge of putting the train into service.
  • The Track Maintenance team, belonging to the GPMM consortium in charge of interventions on ground signalling & Comm equipment and to whom we will have to provide from expertise, technical support and ensure the availability and logistics of parts.
  • The Sig & COM Onboard team where we will have to provide technical support and all level interventions on train (level 1 to level5).
  • The central team, in Saint-Ouen (engineering) as part of the default analysis and in Villeurbanne as part of the repairs of the parts (Engineering /Technical Support and repair centre)
  • You may request to work in Shifts i.e. mornings, evenings, nights, public holidays, or end of week.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The maintenance professional is responsible for the maintenance of signaling & communication systems in the train and on the track and he is supporting the implementation of the following business areas under the responsibility of the Maintenance signaling & communication engineering:

  • Responsible for the maintenance and application of maintenance processes for signaling & Communication systems (compliance with maintenance plans as well as cybersecurity policies).
  • Responsible for analysing problems related to signaling & communication in partnership with the MRS Guarantee teams and the maintenance signaling & Communication Leader.
  • Ability to use the signaling & comm tools made available for analysis & troubleshooting: PCC Logs, Train Log, Signaling (onboard & Wayside Log).
  • Ability to reprgramme & changes Signaling & comms onboard & wayside parts/component.
  • Responsible person and point of contact for any Sig & Com activity & Failure investigation.
  • EHS minded, aware of the electrical risks and able to ensure the safety of not electrical minded persons working in an electrical environment.

Qualifications:

  • Engineer, Professional or equivalent

Experience:

  • 2 or 3 years of Railway Signaling & Comm.
  • Knowledge of Urbalis 400 products and solution (advantage) prefereble ATS i.e iconics background

Language:

  • English
  • French
