Job Purpose

As a Senior Electrical Engineer within the RFI/RFQ group, you will be at the forefront of new electric vehicle development programs coming from our OEM customers worldwide. Whether is it for commercial vehicle or passenger car applications, you will have a direct impact on the next technologies to hit the roads. You will be part of a team involving experts from all fields and will need to be imaginative and creative to ensure the efficiency and the quality of Dana TM4 traction systems.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead responses to customer RFI/RFQ for new product development
• Evaluate customer engineering requirements and propose architectural solutions to meet them
• Stay informed on new products from our competitors, as well as on the regulatory requirements
• Lead customer proposal meetings, as well as internal gate reviews for new business approval
• Conduct simulations to evaluate different architectural concepts;
• Propose digital and analog electronic circuits designs with microcontrollers.
• Propose power electronic circuits (DC / DC, DC / AC, magnetic components, IGBT, SiC Mosfet, gate drivers, capacitors, inductors, trigger circuits)
• Participate in the design of analog and digital printed circuits considering thermal constraints and signal integrity.
• Be involved in DFMEA and risk evaluation workshops;
• Participate and facilitate design reviews of printed circuits and complete products.
• Collaborate with prototype, production manufacturing, benchmarking teams and incorporate new/unique features into design roadmap
• Represent the company as a technical expert when meeting with clients
• Propose, improve, and maintain the processes of design, documentation, and release of PCBs.
• Participate and support quality problem solving exercises.
• Contribute to the research and development of new technologies for electronic products.
Your strengths
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or another equivalent field.
• Minimum experience of eight (2) years in electronic design (digital and analog, DSP).
• Experience in power electronics is a plus
• Experience in the automotive industry is a plus.
• Experience in automotive functional safety according to ISO26262 is a plus.
• Experience in team and personnel management is a plus.
• Knowledge of Altium Designer is a plus.
• Knowledge of simulation tools MATLAB/Simulink/Simscape, SPICE
• Knowledge of requirements management tools such as Polarion, DOORS, JAMA, PTC Integrity is a plus
• Demonstrated ability to document work.
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
• Proactive, self-driven, diligent and ability to summarize key messages
• Provide respectful and constructive feedback to others
• French/English bilingual is a plus
