Job Purpose

As a Mechanical Design Engineer-in-Training, you will be involved in all stages of the life cycle of high-voltage traction systems, from architecture to production, design and validation. You will be at the forefront of supporting the various production lines, whether they are in Quebec, China or India. You will be at the heart of a team of experts from all fields, and will have to use your imagination and creativity to ensure the efficiency and quality of Dana TM4 traction systems.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Your challenges
• Design mechanical parts and assemblies for traction systems (motors and inverters);
• Consider thermal and structural stresses;
• Perform analytical calculations and collaborate with the advanced calculations team;
• Assemble and validate new prototypes or proofs of concept;
• Support the production start-up;
• Participate in and lead design reviews of components and complete products;
• Track design activities and deliverables for a given product.
Your strengths
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or other equivalent field;
• Experience in automotive mechanical design, an asset;
• Knowledge of the following manufacturing processes is an asset: metal and plastic injection molding, stamping, stamping.
• Resourcefulness
• Interest in transportation electrification is an asset;
• Knowledge of NX and Team Center is an asset
• Demonstrated ability to document work;
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams;
• Proactive/proactive and autonomous;
• Knows how to take a critical look at his/her work and that of others;
• Rigorous/rigorous and respectful/respectful of deadlines;
• Fluency in French and English, spoken and written.
