Job Purpose

NVH team belongs to the mechanical analysis group in Dana TM4. We are working on the simulations and tests of the noise and vibrations of the e-motors and e-powertrains. You as an intern of the NVH group will be engaged in the activities of the different phases of the projects here in Dana. Those activities can be comprised of all phases of the feasibility, product development, continuous improvement and research and development on the new designs.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities

Perform Finite Element analysis of the noise and vibration on the electric motors and e-powertrains.
Perform noise and vibrations measurement on the electric motors test benches.
Perform Modal and FRF measurement tests on the pieces and the systems of electric powertrains.
Performing the correlation studies on the tests and analysis electric powertrains and pieces.
Work closely with other teams like electromagnetics and design to investigate and optimize the products of the company.
Support the design and the production teams on the NVH issues of the company products.

Qualifications

Master or bachelor (third or fourth year) student of the mechanical engineering.
Having the knowledge of the FEA analysis with related software’s.
Knowledge in processing of noise and vibrations signals (knowing the concept of FFT, filtering, tracking and …)
Knowledge of optimization methods and utilizing them with related software’s.
Thinking critically in mechanical systems and root cause analysis.
Being proactive, ease to work and communicate in a multidisciplinary team.
Good understanding of how an electrical motor works (asset).
Fluent in French and English, written and spoken.
