Position Overview

Reporting to Pastefill Supervisor, the successful applicant will be responsible for:

• Safe and efficient maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection, and repair of a range of traditional and sophisticated mining equipment.
• Supporting the operation in preventative, corrective and reactive maintenance work processes and providing feedback to optimize reliability
• Adhering to and promoting all safety policies, procedures and systems
• Identifying and recommending opportunities for improvement of area activities or problem equipment;
• Perform daily tasks using Computer Maintenance Management Systems
• Schedule is Day Shift four days a week, ten hours per day

Requirements

The ideal candidate will be a team player who possesses:

• Certificate of Qualification red seal Industrial Millwright
• Preference to individuals with minimum two (2) years’ experience
• A motivated individual, positive attitude, with a dynamic approach to getting tasks done in a safe and efficient manner, and taking pride in accomplishment and their craftsmanship
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, locate, identify and diagnose malfunctions
• Proven ability to work under minimal supervision
• Good interpersonal skills, communication skills and the ability to collaborate well with peers, engineering, and management
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills and interest in continuous learning and improvement
• Familiarity/experience with mining equipment such as hoist plants, pumps, compressors, piping systems and working in an underground environment would be considered an asset

Schedule

Monday - Thursday OR Tuesday - Friday with 10-hour shifts
