Minara Resources has an opportunity for an experienced Production Superintendent to join our established and dedicated Production Compliance team based on site at Murrin Murrin Operations.

The Role
The successful person will become a member of a hardworking and committed team who are responsible for the producing and implementing a successful plan to align production capability and plant utilisation across our processing plant.
You will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring production targets are achieved and the plant is operated and maintained in a safe and environmentally responsible manner;
  • Leading the Refinery Production team with a focus on their continual learning and development;
  • Achieving operating budgets by assisting in maintaining the lowest cost of production;
  • Contributing new operating and business development philosophies to ensure they are attuned with the operating demands;
  • Monitoring the systems, business processes and harnessing opportunities for improvement to increase production;
  • Assisting Line Managers with implementation of change management initiatives and other business improvement projects; and
  • Developing continuous improvement targets for the function and drive, and measure achievement of these targets.

About You
This role would suit a technically competent and driven production specialist ideally looking for a new challenge in our multifaceted processing plant.
You will also have:
  • A tertiary qualification in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or Metallurgy (preferred);
  • Seasoned Production Superintendent with experience working in the processing industry;
  • Experience with Nickel Laterite HPAL process (highly desirable);
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar senior role in leading a team in line with quaity, safety, environemntal, budgeting and Mines safety and Inspections Act;
  • A strong drive in the area of continuous improvement with demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills;
  • A high level understanding of and WHS Legislation and Regulations, Permit to Work, High Risk Work, Risk Assessment tools and maintenance management systems;
  • Demonstrated ability to investigate work place accidents and incidents utilising the ICAM investigation process; and
  • A current & valid manual driver’s licence.
