Senior Financial Analyst

Location: Montréal-East (CCR Refinery) or Rouyn-Noranda (Horne Smelter)

Position type: Full-time permanent position

About the Role:

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a key role within our finance team, overseeing our two industrial copper assets in Québec: our copper smelter in Rouyn-Noranda and our copper and precious metals refinery in Montréal-Est. You will be directly involved in activities related to financial reporting and accounting.

What Your Typical Week Will Look Like:

You will:

  • Manage capex approvals and track project openings.
  • Monitor lease contract analysis.
  • Actively participate in month-end accounting activities.
  • Play an active role in the purchase order approval process.
  • Review the Capex budget.
  • Contribute to the preparation and presentation of financial information.
  • Oversee the preparation of internal and external deliverables.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS standards and internal control policies.
  • Manage ICFR documentation and control testing.
  • Perform accounting reconciliations.
  • Lead various projects as needed.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field with a CPA designation.
  • 8+ years of experience as a financial analyst, preferably in the mining or manufacturing sector.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS standards.
  • Motivated, proactive, and results-oriented, with great attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide meaningful insights.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Enjoys teamwork and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Knowledge of SAP software and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Power BI).
  • Fluency in both French and English, written and oral.
