HOW YOU CONTRIBUTE TO OUR WORLD

Reporting the Senior Engineer - Surface Mining, you will be responsible for the operation, maintenance and surveillance of the filtered tailings storage facility (TSF). Your main duties will be:

  • Develop plans and construction planning for the FTSF while respecting Standards and Regulations, as well as worker health and safety.
  • Develop the tailings management system, including the Quality Assurance/Control QAQC program and the OMS Manual.
  • Ensure the coordination of various services (engineering, operations, concentrator, environment) to support the construction of the TSF.
  • Supervise one or more engineers, trainees, interns, and technicians as required.
  • Write various reports and represent the department in different meetings in the absence of the senior engineer.

PROFILE REQUIRED

  • Bachelor's degree in civil, geological or mining engineering combined with a specialization in geotechnical engineering or relevant experience.
  • Membership in the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.
  • Have knowledge of MS Office, PowerBI, AutoCad, Muk3D.
  • Have a valid class 5 driver’s license.
  • Have working knowledge of both French and English (asset).
