Minara Resources has an opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Planner to join our team.
Minara Resources is Australia’s largest cobalt producer and a major world producer of nickel. Our Murrin Murrin site in WA’s northern Goldfields is an integrated nickel and cobalt mining and processing operation employing over 1,000 people. The Role
The successful person will become a member of a hardworking and committed team who are responsible for planning and scheduling asset maintenance and repair work for their responsible departments, to optimise the productivity of the plant through asset availability.
You will be responsible for:
- Scheduling plant maintenance to ensure minimum asset downtime and increase asset availability
- Supporting shutdown activities by providing consistent quality work orders in a timely fashion
- Optimising plant availability, reliability, performance, and safety through planned maintenance strategies
- Improving maintenance performance through development and modification of maintenance activities and schedules
- Keeping the company dedicated CMMS up to date with effective maintenance plans and procedures
- Maintaining effective interaction with the maintenance and production departments
- Actively develop a culture of teamwork and development within Planning and Shutdown Teams
About You
This role would suit a Mechanical Planner with previous experience in CMMS within a fixed plant/refinery environment who is looking for job security and career opportunities. You will also have:
- An Australian recognised Mechanical Trade Qualification/s (preferred)
- Your current and valid manual Australian Driver’s licence
- Thorough knowledge of modern maintenance planning and scheduling philosophies
- Proven ability to plan and schedule for multiple areas and disciplines
- Practiced trouble shooting and problem-solving abilities with the ability to communicate effectively across various departments
- Adaptable computer skills with the ability to use a CMMS and Microsoft Office Suite
