HOW YOU CONTRIBUTE TO OUR WORLD
Reporting to the Senior Technician - Drilling and Blasting, you will have the opportunity to work in an environment that stands out for its commitment to health and safety. Your main duties will be :
- Provide technical support for drilling and blasting planning.
- Plan drilling and blasting operations on long-hole sites.
- Draw up plans and ensure quality execution of underground work.
- Work closely with mining engineers and geological technicians to maximize ore recovery and minimize mining dilution.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
PROFILE REQUIRED
- College diploma in mineral technology.
- Familiarity with mine safety, ventilation, geology, ground control and site drilling and blasting.
- Knowledge of computer tools from the Office suite, Autocad, Promine, Deswik and SIMS.
- Valid class 5 driver’s license and general explosives permit.
- Modular training for mining workers 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, et 7 (mandatory).
- Working knowledge of English (asset).
