What you’ll be doing in this role:
- Build and maintain design documentation, including calculations, testing, verifications, validations, costs, and approvals;
- Develop concepts based on the requirements of the specifications (performance, quality, costs, deadlines);
- Participate in design reviews;
- Review and approve new concepts;
- Maintain constant technological awareness;
- Create and update electrical schematics for low and medium voltage projects;
- Support the development and mentoring of department colleagues;
- Prepare the necessary documentation for production (BOM, drawings, specifications).
The minimum qualifications you should have:
- Legally authorized to work in Canada;
- A bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering;
- Member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec and authorized to sign/seal;
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment;
- Experience in product development and system integration;
- Experience in designing electrical harnesses (an asset);
- Proficient with electrical design software;
- Bilingual in French and English.
