The Réseau de transport de Longueuil (RTL) is a public transit organization that serves the territory of the Agglomération de Longueuil, including Boucherville, Brossard, Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville, Longueuil and Saint-Lambert, and a population of more than 425,000 residents. As the third largest urban transit corporation in Québec, the RTL has a mission to provide public transit services that meet the transportation needs of citizens within the Agglomération de Longueuil. It plays a key social role and, by encouraging active transportation methods, it also promotes healthy lifestyle habits. Improving quality of life for the citizens of the Agglomération de Longueuil is a top priority for the RTL. The RTL network comprises 83 regular bus lines. Its territory includes five cities, four terminals, three train stations and nine park-and-ride lots. The RTL provides more than 100,000 trips per day. The RTL also offer 14 shared taxi lines to residents in certain sectors that are distanced from the regular bus lines. The taxi drives the customer to the closest transfer point. The RTL also provides part of the school transportation services on its territory. Every day, RTL buses transport more than 5,000 students on its regular network. Finally, the RTL’s paratransit service is available to territory residents who are unable to use regular public transit because of a significant and persistent disability. Close to 5,000 customers are eligible for this specialized service.
