About The Job

Our client is a company specialized in the design and manufacture of high technology metal components to improve the safety and performance of aircraft. Our client has been in business since 1950 on the market of metallic fasteners for aircraft engines and airframes since 2011.

your responsibility

  • Operate automatic single or multiple spindle lathe or milling type machines;
  • Study blueprints, work orders, and machining instructions to determine product dimensions, tooling, and to plan operational sequences;
  • Mount and position tools in machine chuck, spindle, or other tool holding device to specification, using hand tools;
  • Inspect or measure workpieces, using measuring instruments (gauges, micrometers);
  • Deliver the required number of finished pieces according to production schedules;
  • Conduct machine safety protocol based on required operations and tasks;
  • Observe and adjust machines according to operation needs;
  • Participate in the development and promotion of the HSE culture, policies and objectives;
  • Apply and ensure all health, safety and environment rules and procedures;
  • Actively participate in improvement and implementation of preventive actions to reduce the environmental footprint and control health and safety risks;
  • Any other related tasks.

  • An interesting salary of $ 20.00 upon hiring;
  • A daytime training schedule, from 7:30am to 4:00pm, Monday to Friday;
  • Regular Shift: Monday to Friday, from 7:30am to 4:00pm;
  • Shift/Day: Sunday to Tuesday & Sunday to Wednesday, from 6:00amto 6:00pm;
  • Shift/Day: Wednesday to Saturday &* Thursday to* Saturday, from 6:00am to 6:00pm;

our requirements

  • Have an interest in manual labor and/or experience in a manual labor role;
  • Have the ability to read and interpret blueprints, and an understanding of the different tools/equipment (an asset);
  • The capacity and interest to work with numbers (+/-/x/÷)
  • The ability to move and/or lift (assisted) different materials;
  • Fluency in French and/or English (oral and written);
  • Teamwork oriented, with a desire to grow
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills;
  • A dynamic and professional approach.
