ABoUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Our client is a fine Quebec company with over 1000 employees and several plants in Canada. The company has been designing and manufacturing doors and windows for the industrial and construction sectors, as well as for private customers, for 35 years.

Your Responsabilities

• Providing technical assistance to maintenance in the event of recurring problems with production machines.
• Analysing the causes of problems, developing and implementing solutions.
• Carry out reliability analyses on production machinery and its components.
• Follow up the solutions implemented with the production team.
• Work in compliance with current safety standards and policies.
• Implement technical changes or new products.
• Modify and program various machines for technical changes or new products.Assist with the implementation of new production systems.
• Act as liaison between the technical, maintenance and production departments.
• Participate in the management of automation projects.
• Support the implementation and integration of new production machines.
• Optimise and support new manufacturing methods.
• Ensuring that automated equipment functions properly and lasts.
• Assist the maintenance department with complex machine problems.

Our Requirements

• Training: DEC in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering or automated production engineering, or any other relevant training.
• Experience: 3 to 5 years in similar roles in industrial maintenance, programming and automation in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks, Autocad, and the Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Programming experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for teamwork.
• Ability to work under pressure with high production priorities.Attention to detail, excellent powers of observation and good judgement.Initiative, autonomy, thoroughness and attention to detail.
• Spoken and written English is an asset.
