Société de transport de Laval - STL is the public transportation company in the city of Laval. Annually, the STL takes over 20 million journeys. The STL deployed its STLSynchro system in 2009, which alerts users about bus schedules and trips in real-time. STL was the first transportation company in Quebec in 2012 and the second in Canada to purchase an electric bus to run electrification tests for its network. The electric bus joined the daily network in 2016. In 2016, to make its operation more fluid and quicker, the STL introduced its preferential measures for buses (MPB), a set of 5 measures (smart lights, reserved lanes, relocation of bus shelters, sidings, and candle lights).
